Soma World Unveil Debut Single ‘Strange Dreams’

Time for some smooth music! Margate-based three-piece Soma World have just unveiled their dreamy debut single Strange Dreams. Loving the ambient textures of the song, a perfect marriage of hazy, post-rock influenced pop music with infectious atmospheres, offset by dual vocal harmonies that maintain the track’s melancholy while adding a yearning, human touch to the song’s sound. Soma World have created a soundtrack to a road trip around LA in absence of any music that suited. The resulting soundtrack is their forthcoming 4 track EP - a cinematic work of electronic pop of which Strange Dreams is the first taste of.

Purchasing an abandoned pet store by the name of ‘Reptile Club’, the band have begun work on a complete creative space from the building for works of music, film, image and more - this will also be the HQ for their label of the same name.

With Strange Dreams, Soma World have created a hugely alluring opening chapter to their story and with it, one of the most captivating debut tracks of the year. With a forthcoming EP expected in early 2018, as well as a number of other creative projects on the horizon, next year is sure to be a fascinating time for a group creating some of the most irresistible alternative pop in recent memory.
