The Dazies Premiere New Single ‘Suffocate in the USA’
Time for some infectious rock! Boston's duo The Dazies have unveiled their brand new single Suffocate In The USA, packed with joyful riffs and infectious percussion. It reminds me of those classic rock songs from the 70s. Stream it below!

Speaking about the song Mikey Holland said,
With ‘Suffocate in the USA’ I wanted to unapologetically address my personal struggles with being a DIY artist and the parallels of living in a wildly misrepresented country.
The Dazies began as a solo venture by multi instrumentalist Mikey Holland in 2013. After spending years of songwriting/recording/touring with the likes of Tulsa (Park The Van Records), Mean Creek (Sony Records/Old Flame Records) and Trabants (Lollipop Records). Holland set out to establish his form of jangle power pop punk rock ‘n’ roll. Taking hints from his favorite artists along the way.

The new year started with a slew of four track released singles that were written/recorded by Holland at his home analog studio, Cat Castle. With a budding future and a relentless DIY East Coast touring. Holland decided to add some consistency to the lineup by adding former This Car Up/Stereo Telescope engineer/bassist/backing vocalist Kurt Schneider to the mix. They cite as musical influences: The Marked men, Guided By Voices, The Ramones, and Descendents.

The Dazies finished what Holland thinks is his most well crafted songs along with his favorite lyrics that once again come across as diary-esq. The Dazies plan to tour well into the new year and couldn’t be more excited about finally having vinyl with their name on it.
