Betsy premieres ‘Little White Lies’ Video

BETSY has premiered the official music video for her brand new single Little White Lies, which is available today via Warner Brothers. Recently completing a sold-out UK tour – including London’s Moth Club – this follows the success of last single Waiting, and is set to feature on her debut album, which will be released later this year.

Talking about the song BETSY said Little White Lies is about,
being a bit naughty and needing to cover your tracks, but ultimately it’s about the end of a relationship that I was in with someone who I loved dearly, but not enough.
The accompanying video further refines BETSY’s unique visual world, landing somewhere between David Lynch (BETSY is a lifelong fan) and ‘Shameless’ in its portrayal of a bride whose big day doesn’t go quite to plan.

I love her powerful vocals and how catchy the song is. Crossing elements of churchy soul and euphoric dance with soaring power ballads, her songwriting is shot through with unflinching lyrical honesty, and an unlikely musical background.

Over the run of her acclaimed early singles – ‘Fair’, ‘Lost and Found’, ‘Wanted More’ and ‘Waiting’ – BETSY has emerged one of the year’s stand-out voices. Yet it is everything else she absorbs – influences across film, art, fashion, travel and relationships – which have cemented her diva credentials. She says,
It’s important to have your look, your thing, to be so recognisable that a child could draw you and you’d still know who it is.
