JMSN
Detroit-bred singer, producer, and internationally acclaimed songwriter JMSN is set to release his brand new album, Whatever Makes U Happy, this Friday, April 28th, via his self-founded label White Room Records. JMSN wrote and self-produced the instrumentation on this album and the project spans a diverse array of genres and sounds ranging from smokey Blues to epic Country-Western to soulful ballads, all showcasing new explorations in JMSN's musical evolution.

I had a chance to ask him a few questions so we could get to know him a bit more and now you can check it out below!

1. You are set to release your brand new album Whatever Makes U Happy, on April 28th. How was the writing process for this project? What can fans expect from it?
It was a fun new process. Different from records before. Fans can expect a new evolution of myself.

2. Out of all the songs of this album which is your favourite and why?
Patiently. I feel like it’s my favorite song I’ve ever written.

3. I am in LOVE with your song Drinkin. What was the inspiration behind this song?
I was just drinking’ and wanted to make a song for it!



4. What are your musical inspirations?
Life is the main one really. Inspires every song.

5. What has been the defining moment of your musical career so far?
Finishing this record definitely.

6. Who would be your dream collaboration?
Prince because he’s the greatest.

7. What was the first album you ever bought?
Fugees - The Score

8. If you were given the chance to pick one artist/band to tour with which one would it be and why?
U2, because they probably play the biggest shows.

9. Would you ever consider going back to one of the big record labels?
If the situation was right yea its possible.

10. Are you planning to promote your music in a tour outside North American any time soon?
Yes for sure. Working on it now.

11. What music are you currently listening to?
A lot of james ingram.

12. If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life which one would it be and why?
Sigur Ros - Untitled, because I just feel I could listen to it a lot.
