Shy Luv release ‘Shock Horror’ EP
Shy Luv have dropped their Shock Horror EP, out now on Black Butter. This 4-track EP features the trippy disco-tinged title track and the lush nocturnal funk of Joyrider. New vocal track Nightingale alternates between silky soul vocals and bumping hip hop interludes, while the atmospheric string-laden EP opener Don’t Let Me Down (Intro) builds to a powerful crescendo.

The Shock Horror EP presents a new phase of the Manchester band’s evolution, traversing timeless disco, funk-punk and electronic sonic touchstones while carving out their own playful aesthetic and live, organic feel. All tracks are written, performed and produced by the band, with Karma Kid demonstrating he is not only an accomplished musician, writer and producer, but a talented front man as well.

Having made their live debut supporting SG Lewis at KOKO in November (they perform as a three piece with live vocals and instruments), Shy Luv have also announced several festival dates for this summer, with further show info to follow.

Live dates:

10.06 Wildlife Festival          Brighton, UK
15.06 Beatherder Festival   Lancashire, UK
