Krusoe unveils spectacular video for 'Rivers Run riot'
Oxford, UK based artist Krusoe has premiered the official music video for his gorgeous single Rivers Run Riot. This is an eerie, atmospheric take on alternative indie. Subtle hints of electronica show through the cracks, creating an intriguing soundscape upon which Krusoe lays his superbly written melodies. Speaking on the lyrical meaning behind this tune Krusoe said:
Rivers Run Riot is about the madness of love and its tumultuous nature.

The new video was born from the knowledge that a lot of people suffer from anxiety and depression, and many are stuck with the choice to medicate or not. Speaking on the video, director Daniel Harris said:
Often, those little pills have strong and character-changing effects and the choice to medicate has been getting harder and harder for a lot of sufferers. The second male's character, although sometimes ambiguously real, acts as a devil-on-his-shoulder character and an enabler to the lead's anxiety. Amongst these heavier themes, the narrative lightens the delivery of the subject matter and the piece is tied together by a hazy and ethereal performance from Krusoe himself.
Inspired by his childhood musical heroes - Thom Yorke, Paul Simon and Damon Albarn, Krusoe aims to fuse these older influences, with more modern inspiration - with him citing the likes of Beck, Tame Impala and Ry X as recent artists who've impacted his songwriting. Rivers Run Riot is taken from his debut EP, Give Up The Coast, out now!
