Alsarah & The Nubatones Unveil New Single ‘Ya Watan’

Sudanese-born, Yemen-raised and Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter and ethnomusicologist Alsarah releases her new single with her band Alsarah & The Nubatones, Ya Watan. The track features the group's trademark ‘East-African Retro-pop’ vibe, and lays a clear path to their forthcoming album Manara. The beautiful visuals directed by Maryam Parwana contrast black and white images with iridescent filers to reflect the simultaneously traditional yet contemporary track.
