Afternoon everybody! Britmas is here! Britney Spears's 9th studio album, Glory, is officially out! There is already thousands of reviews of this album and I won't be one of those extremely detailed reviews because the point of this blog is to be short and simple!
My absolutely favourite tracks are: Do You Wanna Come Over, Liar, Private Show, Make Me, Hard To Forget Ya, and Just Luv Me. Britney experiments with a lot of new sounds and showcases her most soulful side on this album! What You Need is a song I would never imagine Britney would release because it is so unlike her and it makes me love it. She reveals her sassy side in this funky tune very à-la-Tina Turner. Her vocals are what make this song shine (And I also adore the clapping).
Oh and another thing I'd never expect from Britney is a full song in French! Coupure Électrique (Blackout in English), with its gorgeous synth work and futuristic vibe dends the deluxe edition on a perfect note. If you are a pop fan than I am pretty sure you'll enjoy this album!

So what's my verdict? I love it (and yes I am a Britney fan but I can be partial, trust me)! Comparing to her previous album, Britney Jean, this is a completely different sound, more mature and contemporary. Glory has an overall smooth vibe with some songs perfect for the dance floors (Clumsy, Do You Wanna Come Over, for example). In Glory we are presented with a mix of sounds showcasing Britney's mastery of pop music and always pushing the boundaries with new sounds! To me this album makes her triumphant return to the music world!
