Solomon Grey premiere ‘Broken Light’ live video

London duo Solomon Grey (Joe Wilson and Tom Kingston) have just released a stunning live version of their latest single Broken Light, due for release on June 3rd via Decca Records. Taken from their recently released debut album, Solomon Grey, the band shot the live video for Broken Light in a car park in Fitzrovia at their recent album showcase. What a stunning performance and what a voice!! Wow! Check it out below!

The band say of the track:
Broken Light is one of our more recent tunes and was written after both of us had just become fathers for the first time. I don't think we were aware of it at the time but on reflection it seems to be a real piece of that experience and the whole new aspect of life it offers up. We had also been doing a bit of film scoring by then and it definitely affected the way we wrote - using the synths more as sound design as the rhythmic engine or skeleton of the track and building a song and arrangement within that.

Other live dates include a support tour with Above and Beyond, where they will be appearing live at The Royal Albert Hall on May 5th , amongst other UK & international dates.

Constantly creating Solomon Grey are more of a sonic brand than a band carving out a niche alongside other contemporary heavyweight composers like Nils Frahms and Johan Johansson. Most recently their work can be heard on the trailer for Palm D’Or winner Dheepan by esteemed director Jacques Audiard (Rust and Bone, A Prophet) watch here.
