Nerina Pallot To Release New Album "The Sound And The Fury"

Nerina Pallot has announced the release of her brand new album, The Sound And The Fury, set to come out on September 11th on Idaho Records. This new album marks a new cycle in her music as she really takes a complete 180º change in sound and even her vocals get an extra grit.

It's an album as tempestuous as its title suggests. It’s a bold, bluesy, Biblical storm, in turns restless, aggressive and defiant. It dabbles with electronics, from electro-blues to electro-classical. 

The album's first single, The Road, has a hard hitting and topical video in which filmmaker Damian Weiler interpreted the song’s lyrics his own way. Shot in Calais it is a frank, impartial document of his experience, highlighting not only the desperate circumstances of the migrant camps but the sense of community they have managed to pull together in spite of their plight.

To mark the release, Nerina will play The Scala, London on September 17th - tickets on sale this Friday, July 31st
