I don't know whether to laugh or cry about this. Some of the world's biggest music acts, such as Madonna, Rihanna, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, Daft Punk, Beyoncé, Calvin Harris, Kanye West, and many more, got together to speak about artistry and "high quality" music streaming via Jay Z's recently bought app, Tidal (he bought it for $56 million).
To sum it up, these acts believe that since the app comes from musicians it is now a game changer and they now put artistry/music back to the forefront, before technology.
According to them this will "change the course of history". Or will it make them, especially Jay Z, richer?
They all signed some type of declaration. So basically, these struggling artists (pause for laughter) want you to stop using other streaming services that are very cheap (or even free) and start paying $20/£20 a month to use Tidal, because it comes from them so you can pay a lot more.

I am sure many fans might start using Tidal because of this all-star support but this guy here is sticking with other services that have free streaming options. Check out the "egoless" promo video below!
Basically these artists that "own" Tidal will get more money if you stream their music on that app instead of Spotify. However they forgot to see how the conference and promo would look to the main public. And it's not a good one. They look like they are struggling and need the extra cash so they want the general public to pay $20/£20 a month to listen to their music instead of streaming it for free on Spotify (with ads). Right....
