Sean Christopher unveils haunting animated video "Paper Plane Pilot"
Dutch born, Bristol based artist Sean Christopher has unveiled the hauntingly beautiful animated video for his UK debut single ‘Paper Plane Pilot’, available now on Dumont Dumont (RY X, Charlie Cunningham, Josin). This beautiful, evocative song is the first track to be taken from his forthcoming debut album Yonder, due for release in early 2018. Pure gold guys!! The video was directed by Sean’s partner, filmmaker Eline Helena, and produced by Sean and Julia Schellekins, founder of Pristine Films. Watch it below!

Speaking about the video Sean said,
“I wrote ‘Paper Plane Pilot’ last year after visiting a good friend in a remote area of Southern France. When I played Eline the song for the first time and asked her to picture a story with it, it only took her a day to come up with one that really hit me. She said, ‘I see Paper Plane Pilot as an ode to youth. What connects us as human beings is our imagination. Children seem to understand that better than we do. Let’s tell the story of a child who lives in a refugee camp, limited by a concept of grown ups, finding freedom in his imagination and openness to the world.’”

“We decided to shape the story with two ingredients; paper and our imagination. Although she is a filmmaker, she never made a stop motion before. With the help of her sister Julia (founder of Pristine Film) the three of us made the music video. With zero experience, a lot of patience, and some courage we just followed our imagination, building sets, constructing armatures and shaping faces of the characters. It took us a week to create, and another week to shoot. The whole adventure took place in our living room.”
