British Indie folk artist ida has just unveiled her brand new single Alicia, a warm and intimate love song. 

 

Alicia is based on a conversation ida had with her girlfriend, who was born with Klinefelter's Syndrome; she has XXY chromosomes and was determined to be a ‘boy’ at birth. This is a tender and quietly political love letter to a transgender woman, celebrating her beauty, warmth and authenticity while acknowledging the challenges she navigates daily. A warm and loving song about seeing someone fully and completely for who they are, exactly as they are.
