Australian indie-pop band Layer Cake have just shared their brand new single Numb, an upbeat, sun-soaked indie-pop/rock cut. 

 

What I like the most about this song is its infectious energy and summer vibes, making it perfect for a fun weekend out with friends enjoying the sun. Numb is a song about feeling jaded and trying to hold on to someone, wishing for sincerity. A great song that is beautifully conveyed through smooth, expressive vocals which are accompanied by upbeat, jangly guitar lines nicely intertwined with a driving beat, steady drum patterns, tambourines and rich textures that come together to create an overall feel-good listening experience.
