Singapore-based R&B/soul singer-songwriter Gail Belmonte has just shared her brand new single Playing House, a delicate and intimate piece of alt-pop/r&b music. 

 

Playing House is a song about the pain of feeling at home with someone who was never staying. It's a devastating reflection on a love that felt real and full if promise but ultimately crumbled like sandcastles when the tide came in. A tender, heartfelt song about grief, longing, and the slow, painful process of accepting that some things were never built to last. This relatable storytelling is beautifully conveyed through Belmonte's soulful, expressive vocals which are beautifully accompanied by intricate guitar plucks, steady drum beats, rich electronic textures and rhythms that ebb and flow in pace and energy to match the raw emotion pouring from her vocals.
