Germano Delivers Dreamy Breakup Anthem ‘OLDER’

Brazilian-born, LA-based pop artist Germano has released his brand new single OLDER, a dreamy indie-pop breakup anthem.

Layered with bright synths and guitars over a vintage texture, reminiscent of The 1975 and Chappell Roan, OLDER perfectly encapsulates the blissful feeling of getting over someone, with Germano delivering lines that are both biting and cathartic. A very relatable storytelling about moving on, OLDER showcases Germano's breathy, emotional vocal delivery which radiates with raw emotion and soul, gliding beautifully over the the atmospheric instrumentation. Apart from his gorgeous vocals I am particularly fond of the guitars and bright synths, infectious hooks and vintage texture that create the perfect atmosphere for a late afternoon drive and laid-back weekends!

About the meaning behind the song, Germano says:
‘OLDER’ is about when I got dumped by someone and, after some time, started realizing all the bad parts about that relationship and that person. By the time they wanted to get back together, I had fully moved on and, if anything, felt sorry for how miserable they were doing without me. I just let time do its healing after we parted ways, hence the title of the song. In a way, ‘OLDER’ is a continuation of 'sorry i'm a mess', where I’m the desperate one longing for that person right after the breakup. I close ‘sorry i’m a mess’ singing, 'I know it's a matter of time / Until you look in the mirror / And wish I was by your side'. 'OLDER' is about how that prediction became true.
