Manchester based singer-songwriter and producer Caoilfhionn (pronounced Keelin) Rose shares her brand new single Dying Star, a spacey and textured gem out now on Gondwana Records.
What I like the most about this song is its warmth and airy vibes which sound quite comforting yet with a touch of melancholia that won me over from the start. The song is inspired by one of her friends and how adventurous and resilient they are, finding Rose conveying a sense of strength and wonder through her enchanting, dreamy vocals. Accompanying her stunning vocals we have sun-soaked guitar riffs nicely intertwined with subtle rhythms, spacey atmospherics and meandering melodies that come together to create an overall warm, comforting atmosphere perfect for an introspective day home alone.

When I was writing this song, I was thinking about a close friend of mine. I am in awe of their sense of adventure and resilience. That really inspired the lyrics. I also had this image of a dying star in mind; vivid and dynamic - to me it represents strength and wonder.
