California-based indie-rock artist Todd Binder shares his brand new single Alameda, a captivating indie-pop song out now via Nicochico. 

 

What I like the most about this song is his gorgeous, distinctive voice and how his vocal delivery sounds so effortless and packed with confidence and raw emotion. Alameda transports listeners to another era, evoking the poignant emotions of sailor following World War II, exposing the human desire for meaning and validation in the world around him. It's a song drenched in nostalgia and longing, feelings that many of us can relate to, I definitely do. Alameda was also written as an homage to the island city of Alameda, California, where Todd Binder called home for a while. Apart from his honest storytelling and stunning vocals, I am particularly fond of the intricate guitar plucks, killer beat and percussive elements that together create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere.
