Victony Shares New Single ‘Chop & Slide’

Nigerian afropop rising star Victony has just shared his brand new single Chop & Slide, the latest single to be taken from his sophomore EP, Outlaw, out now via The Plug Entertainment. 

 

Written and compsed by Victony, Outlaw is a 7-track project that beautifully blends R&B, trap and afropop music, with the artist exploring themes around being yourself and living freely in a society that is judgemental and wants to dictate how you live. Chop & Slide is a bop about the pitfalls of transactional relationships, a relatable storytelling that is flawlessly conveyed through his gorgeous vocals which glide effortlessly over the captivating production. Apart from his lovely vocals I am particularly fond of the delicate piano chords and how they are seamlessly intertwined with a killer beat and groovy rhythms that create an overall warm, feel-good atmosphere.
