Slowdaze Share New Single ‘Measure of a Maniac’

Slowdaze, the alternative/electronica project led by British producer Alex Fish, have just shared their brand new single Measure of a Maniac, a mesmerising piece of Downtempo/Indietronica music. 

 

Taken from their upcoming EP Glasshouse Walk, Measure of a Maniac is a chilled out piece of music with smooth vocals gliding effortlessly over the polished electronic production. This captivating song features acclaimed alternative R&B artist Downtown Kayoto whose passionate verses are quite commanding and contrast beautifully with the smoother vocals. Recorded during the pandemic, the song tiptoes the line between downtempo house and indie, finding the collective re-inventing themselves, whilst still maintaining their trademark sound. I am particularly fond of the lush, expansive synths that glide over deep futuristic chords and how the lyrics paint a chaotic dystopia from the near future.
