Following the release of his infectious single Take It Back, Fast-rising Lebanese singer and songwriter Maro has just unveiled his brand new single Heart To Spare, out now via Snafu Records.
I am loving the song's chill atmosphere and how his gorgeous, smooth vocals flow effortlessly over the groovy production. heart to spare is a catchy song about not wanting to fall in love again after a heartbreak, and not falling back into old ways as soon as a opportunity presents itself. This message is wrapped around a warm and upbeat bedroom pop production with a catchy beat and a chorus perfect to sing along to. Maro’s usual effortless vocals are definitely the star of the song and I am really enjoying how it makes me think of those carefree summer days out in the sun. Speaking about the song, Maro said,
In the moment I was writing Heart To Spare, i wanted to describe the feeling of not wanting to catch feelings again with the same girl, but everytime i’m close to moving on she just hops right back into my life ‘’then you walked in to the room’’, and since i haven’t fully moved on, it’s hard to fight it so in the pre chorus i’m telling her, you left me lonely last time and broke my heart, so i don’t have another heart to spare, it’s like one of those video games where you have 3 hearts and if you end up losing them all you’ll have to restart from the beginning , and i don’t wanna get to that haha.
