Cat Marina Shares New Single ‘Contact High’

Following the release of his gorgeous single Ex Friends + Bad Endings, British indie-pop artist Cat Marina has just unveiled his sophomore single Contact High, out now via London End Collective.

I am loving the confident, attitude-packed vocal delivery that soars effortlessly over the energetic production. My favourite element has to be the driving guitar riffs throughout the song and how they instantly make it memorable and give it a captivating edge. Contact High is a song about being fed up with being told what to do and is wrapped around a highly energetic electro-pop/rock production packed with tons of attitude that instantly gave me that extra dose of confidence. If you're into groovy guitar riffs, confident vocals and a memorable chorus, then you'll love this song. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Cat Marina said,

Contact High just comes from this feeling of being fed up with being told what to do. The original idea started by being frustrated by an old manager who was supposed to be helping out, but ended up being more patronising and suffocating more than anything. Once you hang around long enough with these people, it rubs off on you and you begin to see it in yourself. I think at this moment in time more than ever, what with being isolated and in lockdown, you start to realise the differences between influences in your life that you appreciate, and those people that act as if they want the best for you: but are really just holding you back.

Contact High will be followed by Overdose on the 26th of March, with an EP coming this summer.
