With Ask You Twice I wanted to try and describe that feeling of initial inertia and connection with somebody special; when it happens so quickly and unexpectedly, and that magical feeling when they feel the same way. It’s a song about finding hope and contentment in others, even when the chips are down; caring for each other and being there for each other. I don’t think it’s necessarily a song about love, but more of a song about caring for others, who also care for you.
