Leisure Club Share Double Release ‘I Want You in the Dark’ & ‘Hard To Find’
This 2-track EP showcases the band's talents to deliver memorable music and relatable storytelling, being my favourite track I Want You in the Dark. I love this song thanks to its more melancholic and emotionally-heavy content, being written following the loss of a friend from a drug overdose. The song explores the idea of grief and how ones copes with grief, being beautifully wrapped a polished production packed with emotive piano chords, bright synths, soaring guitars and emotive vocals.
Contrasting this song is Hard To Find which has a more upbeat and rocker atmosphere. I am enjoying the drums, groovy guitar riffs and how the bright synths shine as beautifully as the live instrumentation. This 2-track release was recorded and produced entirely by Leisure Club at Sunrise Studios in Vancouver and you can check it out below!
