Georgia & The Vintage Youth Share New Single ‘Overthinker’

British singer, songwriter, musician Georgia and her band The Vintage Youth have just shared their brand new single Overthinker, a retro-tinged, bluesy piece of music.

I am loving Georgia's distinctive vocals which soar effortlessly over the upbeat, feel-good production, calling to mind the great pop traditions of 60s girl bands, as well as legends such as Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin and Marc Bolan. I do get Amy Winehouse vibes in this joyous retro-pop song which takes the universal themes of the uncertainty and dissatisfaction found in your twenties, and turns it into a catchy party tune with an unmistakable youthful energy and a fresh sound. I am quite an overthinker so I can easily relate to the lyrics and I really like how the production is very upbeat, instantly getting me in a good mood. OVERTHINKER is about the journey you go through as a young twenty-year-old. You always hear people say, ‘make the most of these days because they’re the best you’re gonna get,’ and I’m thinking - this surely can’t be it? I wrote OVERTHINKER a couple of years ago when I was working in the pub wondering at what point life begins.
