OneNessa Shares Unplugged Version Of New Single ‘Free Yourself’
Canadian singer and songwriter OneNessa has just shared an awesome unplugged version of her brand new single Free Yourself, an infectious song about toxicity in relationships and how it can show up and be felt differently for the different parties involved.

The studio version is very catchy but I have to give it to the unplugged version as it enhanced her talents as a singer and songwriter. I am a sucker for stripped-down versions and this one is amazing! OneNessa beautifully showcases her lovely vocals accompanied by Montreal artists Marika on the Violin and KWM on the keys/looping. I am particularly fond of the violin and how the song sounds even better unplugged.

Speaking about this unplugged version, OneNessa said,
This is an unplugged live version of the song, that we filmed a week before social-distancing was even a thing. I linked up with talented artists from Montreal, Marika on the Violin and KWM on the keys/looping. The arrangement has reggae undertones, very different from the original song that came week on the 16th of April. Video was directed by Estelle Abou. Check out this cool version below!

Speaking about the song, OneNessa said,
I wanted to write a song that is not about blame, or blaming others but rather about acceptance and how that can be freeing. Sometimes toxicity simply shows up when people do no relate anymore and have our own very different perspectives of the same situation. Without relating, there is no relationships, whichever they may be, and then the best thing we can do is to set ourselves free.
