Tyler Shamy Unveils New Single ‘Nostalgia’
I love the tone of his vocals and how smoothly they flow over the infectious production by Steve Horner & Phinisey. Loving the subtle string section and the lyrics are beautifully written. I am a nostalgic person and I can perfectly relate with the part of looking back to the good old days and sometimes forgetting about the present. Tyler wrote Nostalgia as a way to wake up from this state of mind and live in the present. Check it out below!
Speaking about the song, Tyler said,
Nostalgia has always been a complex and persistent feeling for me. I often catch myself longing for the past. I mourn it. I romanticize it, even when the present is pleasant. The older I get, the more nostalgia becomes about wanting to go back to a simpler time in my consciousness. Before I knew everything I know now. Before I learned how dark the world can get. So I wrote this rather strange song to tell nostalgia to leave me alone because I wasn’t finding it very helpful.
