Dirty Chime Unveils ‘Fifty One Fifty’ Music Video
Dirty Chime, the project of Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter and producer Thomas Clayton, has just shared the official music video for his latest single Fifty One Fifty. The song title refers to the California law code (5150) for the temporary, involuntary psychiatric commitment of individuals who present a danger to themselves or others due to signs of mental illness.
The captivating visuals were directed by Embryo and address issues of over medicating and big pharma and you can check it out below!
Speaking about the video, Dirty Chime said,
the music video adds a whole new dimension to the song. With the video comes the introduction of themes such as big pharma, over medicating, blurred lines of reality, and by the end of the video the turning of tables: the helpless female victim taking control.
Musically this song is quite a beautiful mix of soul, indie and electronic elements by layering tasteful keyboards, catchy bass grooves and hip-hop influenced beats which perfectly back those smooth vocals.
