Brodie Unveils New Single ‘Down Like That’ ft. Josh Jacobson
Brodie Jenkins, one half of indie band Cathedrals, has just unveiled her first ever solo collaboration titled Down Like That, featuring co-writer and producer Josh Jacobson who laid down the beautiful synth bass.
I am loving Brodie's rich and powerful vocals which are backed by an infectious production packed with groovy guitars and lush synths. I am loving the bright, feel-good, summery atmosphere of this song that makes it perfect to be played while on the beach or on those summer road trips. If you're into lush guitar licks, shimmering synths and soulful vocals, then you'll love Down Like That. This song came out just in time for the weekend and you can stream it below!
Speaking about the song Brodie said,
This song emerged from the musical collabs that went into Cathedrals’ single “Behave”: Josh Jacobson laid down the synth bass on the track, and N2N helped guide the production over the finish line. Josh and I went on to write “Down Like That” together, and N2N was inspired to produce his own version of the track, a total reimagining that will come out later this year! These two versions sound truly unique, an example of how a song can completely transform with different production.
“Down Like That” is a song to blast on the beach or by the pool. It feels like summer air, a big exhale into the last days of the season.
