Jett Kwong Unveils New Single ‘Cream’
American experimental pop artist Jett Kwong has just unveiled her brand new single Cream, an ode to summer, to lusting over someone and ultimately lusting over an idealised version of a person and the past itself.

As soon as I started listening to this song I got hypnotised by its shimmering soundscapes and Kwon's Chinese musical influences. Her beautiful vocals give the song an ethereal and dreamy atmosphere which keeps me playing it over and over again. Cream is a beautiful piece of indie-pop music with an experimental touch and a chilled out, feel-good vibe perfect for the summer. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song Jett Kwong said,
I was inspired by the realization that we all, including myself, fall prey to the romanticization of history, and the exoticism of Asia and Asian people. This to me is a legacy of colonialism, and that lens is particularly interesting when I apply them to my own family’s stories of surviving war, flourishing in post WWII Hong Kong, and immigrating to the US.
