Nashville-based, folk-pop, indie-rock artist Mary Moore has just unveiled her brand new single
Map My Body, taken from her upcoming debut EP,
Rooted Heart, set to arrive on July 26th! I am really enjoying her powerful vocals and how gifted a storyteller she is. Mary’s vocals are comparable to the power of Brandi Carlile and Florence + the Machine, but also with the sweet, quirkiness of Regina Spektor. It was her distinctive vocals that captivated me and that infectious chorus sealed the deal for me.
Map My Body is a folk-pop track directed to a new love interest and the song compares oneself to an unconquered country. I am loving the drums in this song which give the song a dose of energy. The song has an earthy/natural atmosphere that instantly transports me into the middle of a forest with lush, beautiful landscapes. Stream it below!
