The Weird Years Unveil Debut Single ‘Stranger’
Brooklyn-based folk-pop group The Weird Years have just unveiled their dreamy debut single Stranger. As soon as I pressed play I fell in love with this song. Those intricate guitar plucks really set a mellow atmosphere to this magical track, making it perfect for a laidback weekend.

Stranger shares a message of hope and finding strength in isolation, all wrapped around infectious melodies, dreamy harmonies and smooth, ethereal-like vocals which are the icing on the cake. The Weird Years make quite an impressive debut by delivering a hauntingly beautiful, ethereal piece of folk music that captures the listener's attention, taking us into a mellow and surreal world to get lost in. This is a great song for those cold, rainy days when you're feeling blue and just want to be home alone with your thoughts. Stream this gem below!

The Weird Years have a clearly defined aesthetic built around gorgeous harmony stacks, haunting arpeggios, and otherworldly textures that conjure up comparisons to Radiohead, Phoebe Bridgers, Here We Go Magic, First Aid Kit, and the Stranger Things soundtrack. Witchy, glitchy, and ethereal, their debut album draws on the band members' wealth of musical experience in other projects to create a perfectly odd pop gem with a singular, and deliberately-sustained mood. The band members include Billy Libby (Fort Gorgeous, voted Deli's Artist of the Month), Hannah Winkler (Human Natural), Bess Rogers (solo artist and recent guitarist for Broadway's Head Over Heels), and Chris Kuffner (producer and instrumentalist for A Great Big World, Secret Someones, and numerous others).
