Planet Case Unveil debut EP ‘Simple Thoughts’
Time for some cool pop/rock music! Finnish Alt-rock five-piece Planet Case have just unveiled their debut EP Simple Thoughts, out now via up and coming Finnish label Soit Se Silti.

I am really enjoying their infectious pop/rock music with anthemic arena-pop hooks, breezy EDM sounds and energetic guitars.

I love all 5 tracks and I would highlight Satellites for its overall anthemic appeal and catchy hook, making the song perfect for the summer. Same Old Blood is packed with great synths and features a twelve-singers choir which add a new dimension to the anthemic hook. Another standout track is the opening song, Average, it just makes me sing along to them! This song was inspired by the lack of creativity on their Instagram feed and the type of attitude social media is perpetuating.

I am quite pleased with this EP guys. Planet Case prove that they are here to deliver anthemic pieces of alt-pop-rock and EDM and I am all up for it.  Stream it below!

Planet Case sit somewhere between the giant stadium power-rock of Imagine Dragons and the uplifting production palette of Matoma and The Vamps collaborations, making them Finland’s most promising new band. Having already gained support across key Finnish national radio, as well as notching up memorable live performances, including a sold-out show at The Circus in Helsinki, as well as some of Finland’s biggest music festivals including Lost in Music and last year’s Provinssi, the band is now ready to debut their live show on the international circuit.

Massive and unapologetic, Planet Case are comprised by university students Aleksi Yli-Sissala on vocals, Aapo Hakala on drums, Otto Nyyssölä on bass, Teemu Hakala on guitar & keys and Tuomas Kätkänaho on guitar. Recorded at the historic Finnvox Studios - nicknamed the Abbey Road of Finland - the EP was carefully laid down with the band playing all the instruments, sometimes recorded and produced live.
