Jhyve Unveils New Single "Purpose"

Toronto-based R&B singer/songwriter Jhyve has just unveiled a stunning single called Purpose, out now via Awesome Music.

Loving the rock vibe the electric guitar riff gives to this super soulful jam about losing hope in a relationship gone bad. Jhyve himself produced and wrote this song and it just showcases his incredible talent to deliver a super infectious track. His vocals are so smooth and soulful, conveying the emotion of the brutally honest lyrics.

Born Jamaal Desmond Bowry in Scarborough, Ontario to parents of Kittitian decent, Jhyve was no stranger to music in his household. His Father would often DJ for local West Indian community events, while his mother sang in the church choir. All through his upbringing, there was never a moment without music or musical influences.

By taking the soulful melodies of classic R&B anthems, the edge and raw energy of classic rock, and the textures of 80s and 90s pop music, Jhyve has a sound that’s hard to miss.
