CANTO
California Indie-rock band CANTO are back with the visuals for their gorgeous new single Say It Out Loud, taken from their latest EP LIMBS. This song is packed with so much energy, and has their characteristic dreamy, dancey, dark surf-psych rock sound. I am in love with those harmonies and guitar riffs! This is without a doubt a perfect summer festival anthem! Check the visuals below!

The guys teamed up with director Jamieson Mundy  (Bastille, 311, The Zombies) to create a cool music video with a retro-vibe to it. He said,
I had the freedom to come up with a concept for a video for “Say It Out Loud” based off the album artwork….The direction I took was a mixture between 70’s area film and animation, mixed with 80’s gloss and neon color spectrum. I felt the mixture along side Canto’s track were a very nice match visually.

Speaking about Say It Out Loud the guys said,
We want the listener to experience a sort of ‘insistence’ when they hear “Say It Out Loud”. The song is like a playful jab to the ribs that says, “go ahead, get it off your chest”. The set of tracks preceding “Say It Out Loud” are relatively dark, so we wanted to end LIMBS on a more uplifting note. We think Jamieson captured the urgency of the song with the bold colors and feral imagery of this video, so we want to share it with you.

Canto consist of three brothers all under the age of 20; Seamus Blackwell (Vocals, Guitar), Aidan Blackwell (Bass) and David Blackwell (Drums). Their music is influenced by artists like Led Zeppelin, The Who, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Clash, The Walkmen, The Black Keys and Jack White. The guys will go on tour this month to promote their EP LIMBS, out now!
