Mined
Mined has unveiled his brand new single, Girl, set to arrive tomorrow, July 7th, through Peacefrog Records. This is a smooth track with sparse electronic beats paired with his vocal. Its bareness indicative of its moving theme. Stream it below!

Speaking about the song Mined explains,
The song is about two different relationships. The first is a relationship that is dependent on the physical aspects neglecting the emotional, and about someone who isn't happy about it but gives in to it anyway ('love me like you do in the dark, love me anyway you want'). The second relationship is long distance and the lyrics are about maintaining trust and the worries and difficulties that come with that ('I know its tough to relax, but I swear I'll tell you all of the facts’).”

‘Girl’ is the follow up for singles 'Mistakes' and debut single 'Pangs'. The track is accompanied by a visual created by filmmaking duo The Rest (Little Simz, Kojey Radikal) who also produced the video for previous single ‘Mistakes’. Watch the video for Girl below.

Kofi Holmes Attivor aka Mined is - quite literally - a man of many names. Born to a Ghanaian family in Tooting in London, this electronica newcomer, philomath and a Molecular biologist was given eight names at birth.

Mined deals with his emotions with brutal sincerity while placing these lyrics in a sanctuary-like, pastoral sonic sphere, gravitating towards the tranquility of James Blake, Caribou and Boards of Canada. He explains,
I've always been more drawn to poignant honest music that evokes a sense of melancholy, or sadness or nostalgia.
