Spoon To Play London’s 100 Club February 27th
Spoon, one of America’s greatest bands, have announced a special intimate show at The 100 Club, one of London’s greatest venues, on February 27th. Their forthcoming new album Hot Thoughts is already being touted as one of the albums of the year. Produced by Spoon and Dave Fridmann, they have created the bravest, most sonically inventive work of their illustrious career. Within the space of 10 captivating songs, Hot Thoughts confirms why Spoon are one of the most critically acclaimed acts of the first decade of the new millennium. Reuniting the band with the label that released their 1996 debut ‘Telephono’, ‘Hot Thoughts’ is released March 17th on Matador and is nothing short of epic. The album follows on from Spoon’s streak of three consecutive US Top 10 albums – ‘Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga’ (2007), ‘Transference’ (2010), and ‘They Want My Soul’ (2014).

The title track is out now and reminds us why Spoon are considered one of the most critically acclaimed acts of the first decade of the new millennium. Check it out below!

Spoon has also confirmed a three-night release week SXSW residency for which the band will resurrect the original, classic Austin venue Emo's location, currently referred to as 'The Main' on March 14th, 15th and 16th. The band will curate a unique line up each night.

Spoon are: singer/guitarist Britt Daniel, drummer Jim Eno, bassist Rob Pope and Alex Fischel on keyboards and guitar.
