FRANCESCO YATES NAMED AS PART OF UNIQLO'S GLOBAL CAMPAIGN; JOINS SOMO ON ‘WIDE AWAKE TOUR
Hey guys! I can't believe I haven't introduced you to the incredible new artist, Francesco Yates. He is a big-haired 18 year-old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Toronto, Canada. His musical influences range from classic rock legends such as Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin & Freddie Mercury of Queen to timeless soul powerhouses, Donny Hathaway & Stevie Wonder. His first single, Call, is a gorgeous, GORGEOUS soulful-pop tune, and his vocals are superb and soooo smooth! I am in LOVE with that song! He sounds so mature, wow! The song was produced by Robin Hannibal and written by Francesco Yates and Matt Morris. On his debut album he has enlisted the help of heavy-hitting producers Pharrell Williams and Robin Hannibal of Rhye/Quadron (Kendrick Lamar, B.O.B.). Justin Timberlake has said Call was the Summer Jam of 2014, and I can see why. Check out the video below!
Francesco will accompany Texas R&B phenomenon SoMo as a special guest on his North American ‘WIDE AWAKE’ tour, slated to get underway October 4th at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works and then continue through November
In more news, the global clothing retailer, UNIQLO has just announced their global “Faces of Fall Winter 2014 ‘People’ Campaign which will include Francesco. This campaign will celebrate the launch of new store openings in Boston, Los Angeles & Philadelphia. The campaign features a ‘cast of forward thinking, socially conscious next generation icons in arts, tech, sports and entertainment.” This campaign will be featured in print, online and social media platforms.
He is starting big. Wow! I can't wait to listen to his album!!
