Os OK Go anunciaram que deixaram a discográfica EMI para formar uma própria deles. Os OK Go formaram assim a discográfica Paracadute Records. Em relação ao fim da relação entre a banda e a EMI eles disseram que foi uma saída amigável e estão muito gratos pela companhia que tiveram durante a última década.

OK Go have parted ways with EMI. The band split from EMI to form their own label: Paracadute Records. About the split they said:
"We have to part ways with the record label we've been with for the last decade, EMI. They've been good to us, they've worked very hard on our behalf and we want to think everyone at EMI for all the good times and for making it so easy for us now. We're leaving it very amicably, and they've been very good to us. Onward and upward."
They also released a statement that says:
"Paracadute and OK Go will oversee the distribution and promotion functions for the band and have planned an extensive promotional campaign for latest album, Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky, which was released in January.  Just as the band saw an opportunity to do something different with their homemade videos, OK Go see untapped potential in the sea change that the music industry is experiencing and believe there are tremendous opportunities for artists capable of managing their own promotion and distribution. The band, who have always controlled their publishing, merchandise, touring, and all other non-recording rights, are parting by mutual agreement with EMI Music."
