Avatar foi o grande derrotado tendo perdido os grandes prémios para The Hurt Locker (Guerra ao Terror): melhor filme e realizador, etc..  Sandra Bullock venceu o prémio de melhor actriz no seu papel em The Blind Side.  Na versão masculina temos Jeff Bridges no seu papel em Crazy Heart.. And last night it was held the 82nd cerimony of the Academy Awards. James Cameron's Avatar was the big loser of the night having lost the big awards to Kathryn Bigelow's (Cameron's ex- wife) The Hurt Locker. which won Best Motion Picture, Best Director, etc. Sandra Bullock won Best Actress Oscar for her role in The Blind Side..
