Lucius announces new album ‘NUDES’
Tomorrow, Lucius will release their brand acoustic record NUDES – the first music to come from them since the release of their sophomore record Good Grief in 2016. The album is an organic product of where the band are right now in their life, a retrospective of everything they have achieved and a look forward to the journey they are still yet to have. NUDES is exclusively  available in Europe through Rough Trade.

The songs on the record have been specifically chosen to showcase their hugely powerful and soulful voices and these new recordings do that perfectly. Roger Waters sits in on Goodnight Irene and Wilco’s Nels Cline also makes an appearance on Million Dollar Secret. There’s also a special rendition of Gerry Rafferty’s Right Down The Line, which sits perfectly alongside acoustic versions of their own original tracks that come from both their debut album Wildewoman and the follow up Good Grief.

Fronted by the supremely dynamic duo of Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, the last 5 years have seen Lucius become one of the most celebrated bands to come out of America – known for their visually arresting aesthetic, iconic vocal performances and a pair of albums (released in 2013 and 2016) which have both been widely loved and critically praised.  Along the way, they’ve built a stunningly loyal fan base in every corner of the globe – a credit to their relentless touring, and astoundingly good live shows.

With their counterpart bandmates Dan Molad and Pete Lalish, Jess and Holly have toured across the globe playing sold out shows everywhere they’ve gone, along with countless festival slots.

To accompany the record, Lucius announced a bunch of ad-hoc acoustic shows in the US which sold out immediately and begin Saturday March 3 in Los Angeles. See full tour dates below.
