Joey Dosik
Joey Dosik, who released the deluxe version of his Game Winner EP on Friday via Secretly Canadian has announced an unmissable show at London’s Jazz Café on 16th May. Praised by Quincy Jones as an Artist To Watch, see Joey in action on Jimmy Kimmel below.

Game Winner is a brisk, emotive collection of songs, loosely inspired by the language and lore of basketball. An inveterate collaborator who has worked extensively with the likes of Vulfpeck, Nikka Costa, and Miguel Atwood Ferguson, Joey Dosik wrote, produced and played all the instruments on the EP, as well as mixing 8 of them! But his standout instrument is that voice.

Touring relentlessly, Joey spent virtually all of 2017 on the road, including shows with Vulfpeck and Lake Street Dive, and sold out his own headlining dates as well (including a show at The Camden Assembly). Joey plays:

Wed 16th         LONDON, Jazz Café

Originally self-released in June 2016, the re-issue of Game Winner builds on the original 6 songs with four brand new bonus tracks. The lead track Game Winner is a love song; a sultry and soulful ode to Joey’s passion of basketball.
The EP includes an alternate version of ‘Game Winner’, a stripped back version of ‘Running Away’ and new songs ‘Northridge Park’ and ‘Gentle Giant’ encapsulating Joey’s ability to pair his smooth vocals with arrangements that update vintage sounds into a more contemporary context.
