Shy Luv Premiere ‘Lungs’ Music Video
Manchester band Shy Luv have premiered the official music video for Lungs, the title track of their latest EP. The song is quite moving with infectious harmonies laid over 80's synth drums beating through the atmospheric dream-pop melody.

The video which was directed by HUMANS and produced by CANADA, brings to life the arresting single by illustrating the songs overriding theme of wanting to re-tract an open offer of love to your object of desire who’s feelings aren’t openly reciprocated. In the video, the girl in question can be seen callously shooting arrows through and stamping on the beating heart of the infatuated boy.  Watch it below!

Speaking about the video The band explain:
We wanted the video for Lungs to really capture the feelings we were trying to create with the song, so when we got the treatment through from the directors (HUMANS.) we were super excited because we both knew the direction they wanted to go was exactly what was in our heads.

Shooting the video was all super surreal. On the day when we arrived at this Mars-like red clay quarry outside Barcelona to shoot the band shots, we had to keep pinching ourselves to bring us back to earth a bit. The whole production and directing team absolutely smashed it, we kinda felt like kids at Christmas when we got the first draft of the video back.
On writing Lungs Shy Luv say,
Lungs came from us wanting to create something nostalgic for ourselves, something that people at our gigs could sing back to us, or take that same feeling away with them. It's written around saying too much in a relationship and wanting to take back what you'd said, telling someone you love them and then almost regretting it.
The Lungs EP was first introduced by lead single Like A River earlier this autumn, which featured vocals from up-comer Bakar and its more recent follow up Bloodsucker, making Lungs the third track to be taken from it. Stream this lovely EP below!

You can catch Shy Luv live at The Courtyard Theatre in London on December 14th.
