Jessie J Announces New Album ‘R.O.S.E.’
Jessie J has just announced her long-awaited album! R.O.S.E., the follow up to her 2014's Sweet Talker, is named after her mother and is also an acronym for Realizations, Obsessions, Sex, and Empowerment. The british soulful singer shared a confessional video in which she explains her struggles within the music industry:
I don’t want to make music anymore. I said that out loud. Wow. Then, I tried to stop and I didn’t know how to because it’s impossible to walk away from true love. Art, emotion, lyrics, music, feeling, it’s what I need to survive. Man, that pain woke me up. It’s inside out, you know? I don’t do this because I want to do it. I do it because I have to. I feel everything so deeply.
So we can expect a more "real" Jessie in this album as we could see in her latest single Real Deal. As long as she's happy with the music she is making that's all it matters to her and her fans.The music industry is tough and the business side wants commercial hits and that sometimes clashes with an artist's vision. Now Jessie is free and is creating the music she wants.
