The Rare Occasions Premiere "Notion" Video
Garage Rock band The Rare Occasions have premiered the official music video for their awesome single Notion. This song is super catchy, it has awesome guitar & bass riffs and the melodies are just the best! The accompanying visuals were directed by Mike Levinsohn and follow the journey of a woman attempting to rescue her sister from the grips of a strange religious cult! Check them out below!

Notion is taken from their latest EP, Futureproof, and is by far my favourite track off of it! However I also have other favourite tracks: Loans, Futureproof and Bug Eyes. You can stream the entire EP below!

Drawing inspiration from each successive wave of garage rock, The Rare Occasions put their own dark spin on retro. A dizzying cacophony of angular riffs and dripping wet lyrics, the Boston-via-Providence quartet first formed in a Tufts University practice space in 2012. Since then, The Rare Occasions have performed for festival audiences at SXSW in Austin and CMJ in New York City, self-produced three critically-acclaimed EPs, and opened for internationally touring acts including Guster, Dirty Heads, Lupe Fiasco, AJR, and Knox Hamilton. Their blistering psych-anthem "Dysphoric" took home Song of the Year in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

This summer The Rare Occasions will be playing several dates in the Northeast United States and California (see tour dates below).
