Parcels
Bom dia everybody! It's officially the first day of summer!! Time to start the day with some groovy music! Berlin-based Australian band Parcels have unveiled their brand new single Overnight produced by the planet’s most gifted robots: Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel Homen Christo of Daft Punk. The French duo's magical touch is obvious thanks to those blissful and funky guitar licks. Stream it below!

Written and produced in the spring of 2017 by Parcels and Daft Punk at a secret location in Paris, Overnight is an effortless cut of summer bliss that shines with innate musicianship and unfurls its refined groove into the mellowest of nights. The song showcases the craftsmanship, the easy wonder and the resolute attentiveness of seminal songwriters and producers. It’s a timeless statement of bighearted mentorship and of youthful inspiration.

It's release today on Kitsuné, the Parisian label home to Parcels, is a straightforward expression of Daft Punk’s intimate relationship to indie and intact sense of their true artistic roots. Having previously collaborated with the like of Nile Rodgers, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West to name just a few, this is the first time they have chosen an emerging act to add to their stellar list.

Parcels’ synth-soaked funk was born on the sun-drenched shores of Byron Bay. Their sound is currently honed in culturally thriving Berlin, ever since the band moved from their coastal home to Europe right after leaving high school. The five-piece share a passion for innumerable music genres. An equal devotion to songwriting, live performance and studio production gels in a unique brand of pop music.

Released on the first day of summer, Overnight is a fresh instalment in the Australian maverick’s rise to global attention. Parcels are touring Europe throughout the year with stops at all the major festivals including a pair of shows at Glastonbury this weekend.
