Harry Styles Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart
Congratulations are in order to Harry Styles! His self-titled debut album lands straight in at #1 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart with 230,000 equivalent album units sold! Styles earns the biggest debut sales week for a U.K. male artist's debut album since Nielsen Music began tracking sales in 1991. He beat the previous record holder, Sam Smith, with his In the Lonely Hour album selling 166,000 copies sold back in 2014.
Styles is just the second U.K. male artist to enter at #1 with a debut album in the 61-year history of the Billboard 200. He follows his former One Direction bandmate, Zayn, who debuted at #1 with Mind of Mine last year.
Debuting at #2 we have Zac Brown Band's Welcome Home selling 146,000 units while Kendrick Lamar holds the #3 with DAMN. selling 117,000 units.
