Clint Wilson Q&A
Hey guys! Australian singer/songwriter Clint Wilson recently released his brand new single Hungover, and now I had the chance to ask him a few questions so we could all get to know him a bit more. Check it out below!

1. Earlier this year you released your debut EP Red Headed Thief. How was the writing process for this project? And what’s your favourite track from it?
I released the EP on new years day this year. All of the tracks came to me fairly easily except Hungover. I had finished recording the EP and had recorded the music for Hungover but had no lyrics. After 2 weeks of listening to the music on a loop the lyrics came to me late the night before I had booked to go into the studio to track the vocals and start mixing. My favorite track on the EP would be Driving or Hungover.

2. Where did you get the inspiration to write such amazing songs?
I always seem to find myself writing about whats going on around me or my friends.

3. My favourite song of yours is Hungover. What was the inspiration behind this song?
I wrote the lyrics to Hungover late at night and once I started I thought about how others could interperate the song, it could be about a really good friend or maybe someone that used to be.

4. What are your musical inspirations?
Being a teenager in the 90's I grew up listening to pearl jam, nirvana along with the beatles, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty and Paul Kelly who would have to be my biggest influence, the way he delivers the stories in his songs is really special

5. What has been the defining moment of your musical career so far?
Probably recording the EP late last year with a couple of really good mates

6. Who’d be your dream collaboration?
Paul Kelly would be great to work with

7. If you were given the chance to pick one artist/band to tour with which one would it be and why?
I'd love to tour with Tom Petty mainly to hang out with him and hear all his stories, he's done it all

8. I know you are working on your debut album set to arrive later this year. What can fans expect from it?
Heading into the studio in September but planning on releasing a sneeky single in June/July. The album is sounding a bit folkier than the EP with some great stories and great harmonies

9. Are you planning to promote your music in a tour outside Australia any time soon?
At the moment I'm concentrating on writing and recording the album but once thats done I'd love to take the band to the US

10. What music are you currently listening to?
An Aussie guy called William Crighton, he's about to release some new stuff and is definitely worth checking out
