Fifth Harmony's Camila Cabello quits the band
Camila Cabello has quit Fifth Harmony! The news came via the band's social media where the remaining 4 girls, Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen and Lauren Jauregui, told fans that Camila left the band after 4 years together. What I find surprising is that the ladies said they were told the news by Camila's representatives and not herself. Ouch? We all saw this one coming, didn't we? Camila was testing the waters for a solo career and following the big hit that is her collaboration with MGK she decided to pursue a solo career. Here's what the girls said:
After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well.
You Harmonizers have been there with us since the beginning, you've supported us, you've rejoiced and cried with us, you've grown with us, and with your love and support, we will continue on.
That being said, we are excited to announced that we will be moving forward with the four of us – Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui for our fans.
We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavours. We are excited for our future, and we can't wait what the new year brings.
Harmonizers, we are in this together. We love you with all our hearts.
Love, Ally, Normani, Dinah and Lauren
To make it all official - Camila's Twitter handle has already been taken out of the official group Twitter bio. Camila had the most recognizable voice of the group and now I don't know how it will sound without her. More room for the other 4 to shine! Good luck ladies!
