Coley
Hey guys! Time for a Q&A! This time I got the chance to interview Philadelphia's "Hustler Pop" music artist, Coley!

1. What made you want to follow music? Was it always the #1 thing you wanted to do for a living?
I don't think I really have a choice, I love it so much. Stuff just flies out of my face. Yea, I've been writing songs since I was 6 - believe the first song was an ode to trees on Arbor Day or some g' shit like that. Still rappin' about trees now lol. I fully committed in high school and decided I wanted to be an artist / music mogul.

2. What song - out of the ones you already released/written - means the most to you? Why?
I Can't Be Happy For Ya which drops this month. It's an introspective song about my father's depression and a past girlfriend who was also destructive. It has the lessons I learned from dealing with them - basically a person can't save another person. They have to want to be happy themselves. Existence is temporal and a reflection of our attitude so make it positive for no other reason then to make it positive. Either that song or the one about my balls.

3. Which artists influenced you the most to pursue a music career and to adopt this style of music?
Jay Z. Beastie Boys. Bob Marley. Tibetan Chakra Music.

4. Are you planning any collaborations/duets?
I have a song with Bun B called "Alley Oop". #HustlerAnthem

5. With whom would you love to work with and why?
Nicki Minaj. Mainly cause her butt.

6. What has been the defining moment of your musical career so far?
Performing Alley Oop with Bun B at Allen Iverson's Retirement Party. Shit was epic. AI really appreciated it, and we had a great moment after the performance. It felt like further synchronicity considering we both went to Gtown and live in Philly.

7. What kind of message do you want people to take away from your music?
Follow your dreams, don't take yourself too seriously, kill your ego, buy Coley's music and ride the positive wave.

8. If you were given the chance to pick one artist to tour with which one would it be and why?
Taylor Swift. Cause I'd make a bunch of bank.

9. What advice do you have for people who want to make it in this business?
Bet it all with no Plan B. Look deep inside yourself and if you're willing to walk 10,000 miles in the desert with no material reward, then get ready to lose your shit and maybe make it "there" :)

10. What artist are you listening to on your iPod?
Today was Jack Johnson. I was in the mood for some feel good summer shit.

11. If you weren't singing, what would you be doing?
Singing with no one paying attention.

12. If you could only listen to one artist the rest of your life, who would it be?
Jay Z

13. Name five things you can’t live without.
Breath. Music. My notebook. My penis. Carrots.

14. What’s your favourite song of 2015 so far?
Trap Queen. Lol pretty sure that's got everyone cookin pies with their baby this year.
